Subservient is a top-down pixel narrative game inspired by Undertale and OneShot. The goal of the game is to capture the essence of a non-fighting combat mechanic, as well as the meta-gaming and 4th-wall-breaking gameplay from OneShot.

Core gameplay revolves around survival and evasive combat. Players absorb unstable enemy attacks using a lantern-like device that stores “Flicker,” a resource representing corrupted game data. Flicker powers abilities such as:

  • Time manipulation

  • Dashing and teleportation

  • Stunning enemies

  • Deleting hostile attacks
